Postponements
All postponements and cancellations due to inclement weather are the responsibility of the HOME club. These decisions must be communicated to the Northeast Academy League League Director after consultation between the host club and visiting club. The host club should notify the Northeast Academy League Director League Director and opposition coaching staff via email, call or text should they anticipate any issues that could affect the scheduled games. If the decision is made to cancel a game, the host club will call the visiting team’s coaching staff immediately, an email should be sent to the Northeast Academy League Director League Director referencing the cancellation and game details, including the Game Number from the Northeast Academy League Director schedules. The Northeast Academy League Director League Director will be on call for any game-day disputes. Rescheduling Postponed Game Clubs will have 14 days to arrange a reschedule date for any postponed/canceled games. Rescheduling Considerations All Northeast Academy League games must kick off the second half to be considered a completed game. If the game does not make the designated threshold, the Northeast Academy League League Director will have the authority to review all of the facts in determining whether and when a game should be rescheduled, who should bear the financial burden as a result of cancellation or rescheduling and whether the game should be forfeited or canceled permanently.
